MADELINE ISLAND ELOPEMENT, BAYFIELD WI ELOPEMENT

Ashley and Jonathan wanted something simple, but meaningful for their marriage celebration. A simple ceremony on the water. A little time exploring for portraits. Personal touches like family heirlooms and personalized suspenders. And Lake Superior put on quite the show with the wind and the waves at the first spot we stopped – it was easy to be in awe of the world around us.

The little things they put effort into is what made their little elopement exactly perfect for them.

That’s the thing to remember: there’s still pressure to have your elopement be “swoon-worthy”, filled with swimsuit jumps into lakes and champagne pops and nighttime hikes.

But even the most simple of things can feel like you, and that’s the most important part.
